On the Desk

We're in the part of winter where it seems like spring will never come. Cold. Bitter. Icy. And, if you're a farmer, it's just plain hard.

It's also the time of year where we spend a lot of our time getting ready for the farmer's marathon that is March to September. This year, we're ordering our seeds, readying our greenhouse, wheeling and dealing to get compost and shavings and the countless other things we will need so we can be ready when the weather turns in our favor.

This year we're planning several dozen varieties of organic heirloom tomatoes. Also, goat cheese and organic baked goods by order. Send us a note if you'd like to get on the list.

And stay warm.
