Camaraderie

Mahmood was delighted to be awarded the Dow Scholarship to this month's Carolina Farm Stewardship Association's Sustainable Food Conference. It's virtual and such an honor to connect with farmers and policymakers who are all about improving their communities, the environment, and the health of their neighbors with wholesome, local food.

The challenge, here in the times of Covid 19, is to make sense of our food system and really relish the opportunities to have some delectable, locally-grown food. This week you can hit up a farmer's market, visit a local grocery, tuck in to a local restaurant, explore a CSA, revisit some childhood favorites.

One of our favorites are the collard greens pictured above. Pair them with some cornbread, some hot pepper, and...it's heaven, y'all.
